Paula Scher

Paula Scher is an American graphic designer.

I watched her TEDtalk online once, loved her lecture, of course,

 and her passion for typography was very inspiring.
I, especially, like her art-nouveau, art-deco style designs.

Art21: Art in the Twenty-First Century: Place

Art:21 is a series on PBS to fucus on contemporary visual art and artists in the U.S.

I just wanted to share. (No one reads my blog, though) I'm sort of blogging to myself.

Watching this kind of films gives me inspiration, and motivation as well, and it helps me keep on track on art of nowadays..

NOT quite good ones...

1. Pinehurst Land Rover Society posters

This design is not so clean. Letters aren't popping up enough. It's drawing eyes to everywhere.

2. Saraiva Classics book jackets

Too much use of vivid and neon color...!

3. EndSuicideNow.org poster

Not convincing enough....

4. Sound Mind Music identity

The logo needs more simplicity...

I love this idea of making a business card something that you REALLY want to look at.

I always liked pop-up books. I think pop-up books(or 3-dimensional books) are combination of both art and geometry.. I think a good designer should understand some science as well.

5. Sacramento SPCA print and outdoor ads

Using things that many people already know is good way to make people comfortable.
